This panelist-led forum will address cultural competency in health care, discuss the need for cultural competency in addressing health disparities and most importantly, identify what steps must be made in preparing health care professionals to deliver culturally competent care without encouraging stereotypes. This will be an open and candid discussion on improving quality of health care to an increasingly diverse population.
Panelists include Dean of Diversity affairs and Director of the Center of Health of the African Diaspora, Director of LGBT Student Center and Program Adminstrator for the Center for Multi-cultural Education and Programs and Dean of Student affairs at NYU College of Dentistry
Refreshements will be served 6:00- 6:30pm outside auditorium
